About Us

Hello! Welcome.

This blog is run by two ex- film students who thought it would be a good idea to start sharing our passion for modern day and classic cinema with the world. We love all things film, watching, reading, talking and tweeting are how our days are spent. We each brought a cinema card four years ago and haven’t looked back since. We watch on average 3 films a week at the cinema, and countless films at home. Our DVD collections, collectively, rivals blockbusters and there is no genre we will not watch. Our favourite films can range from Lord of the Rings, to Cabaret and The Exorcist.  This blog will review a wide range of films, new and old, keep you up to date with film news, comment on award shows and nominations, DVD releases and film/TV conventions.

We have an old fail safe method of reviewing a film, which we have used for 4 years. We judge the quality of a film on the price we would pay for the DVD. Instead of using stars for our films we will be using this method. A brilliant film would be a “full price” purchase. A good one we wouldn’t mind watching again would be a “HMV £6 special” an alright film would be a “supermarket beauty at £3” and rubbish films= no sale. Works for us J
